Host-Family Accommodation

We currently have a limited list of host-families that offer either full-time or self- catering accommodation for our International students.

Accommodation is initially allocated on a first-come first-served basis and we do our best to match appropriate hosts to the applications received.

Once initial matches have been made, details of the host will be forwarded to the student. It is then the responsibility of the student to contact the host to arrange arrival dates and times.

Please note that if students do not contact host families when matches have been made, host families may assume that the student no longer wishes to stay there and may choose to host other students.

College Declaration

We cannot guarantee that host-family accommodation will be within walking distance to Richard Huish College, but we do our very best to recruit hosts that are in the vicinity.

We cannot also guarantee that host-families are able to provide accommodation over the major holiday periods [Christmas, Easter, and Summer]. Each host-family will provide vacation accommodation by individual arrangement. Some host-families will charge a holding fee over the major holidays.

Students are encouraged to plan well in advance for independent accommodation for the major holiday period, and will be supported in doing so.
