Leidy Viviana Navarro Devia
A Level Programme: Spanish Economics and General Studies. Italian Enrichment
“Hi! My name is Vivi Navarro; I’m from Colombia, and am studying Spanish AS and A2, Economics and General Studies
, these subjects have given me a new perspective on English Culture in order to integrate into English Society. I also take Italian as an enrichment subject.
My main reason for coming to England is to improve my English Language skills through the AS levels, so I have had support from the EFL Department. My English is getting better very quickly because I have the best teachers! And I enjoy Economics as it is something that I am very good at and interested in.
The atmosphere in the college is great, the students are enthusiastic and willing to learn and that has provided the opportunity to learn from them and the teachers can motivate you to work hard indirectly. My learning has also been supported by the College’s resources from the library, advice and guidance from my tutor and extra support from my subject teachers such as workshops. They have helped me a lot to achieve very good module results.
I really feel that I made the right decision to come here for my AS-levels and if your skills with the language are not the best, you’ll have the complete support from everyone here!”
Vivi has successfully completed her AS level programme and has progressed onto study the FdA in Business and Management.
SHAWKAT ALI SHAMIM
Professional Courses: ACCA Skills & IT Courses
Shamim is from Bangladesh and joined Richard Huish College in September 2004 to study AAT Foundation, SAGE and ECDL. Four years later, Shamim has progressed onto the ACCA Skills level
and is still studying at RHC.
“I love it at RHC. The students and staff are really friendly and supportive and the ACCA course is very professionally run.
The flexible study has allowed me to combine my programme and I decided to combine ACCA with ECDL advanced this year. I progressed onto ACCA after completing all 3 levels of AAT and I am hoping to continue to with my ACCA in order to achieve the full qualification and become a Certified Accountant.
I have found RHC very comfortable to live and work. I am currently working at a local Chartered Accountancy firm and really enjoy my job. I hope RHC will provide me with the same support and help then and forever.”
