Apprenticeships

Introduction

Apprenticeships are a structured programme of training leading to recognised qualifications, they are aimed at young people aged between 16yrs and 24yrs who are entering the world of work or who are already employed but would like to further develop their skills and knowledge.

Working for an employer, you will build up knowledge, skills and experience. You will learn best practice and develop up to date skills to enable you to carry out your job competently and confidently. You will attend college on a part time basis and earn money at the same time.

Costs

All training costs are covered by government funding providing you meet the eligibility criteria, however there may be an additional cost for books, exams fees and registrations; this is normally paid for by your Employer.
