Flexible learning opportunities

Distance learning

A range of Distance Learning options are provided allowing the learner to complete work at their own pace and in their own workplace or at home. Typically these programmes are around 12 weeks in length and are supported by nine hours of individual tutor support. Learners can gain qualifications, whilst minimising disruption to the workplace.

Learndirect & Vision 2

Learn Flexible methods of study based on learning using electronic methods, supported by a tutor. These courses can lead to a qualification or simply to develop skills.

Bespoke Training

Provides a tailored course of study either in the workplace or at a training centre. Bespoke Training may meet specific requirements raised in your training needs analysis carried out by our Business Development consultants in partnership with you. These courses do not always lead to qualifications but will help to develop skills and knowledge of yourself and your staff.

College Study

A range of business courses are available, delivered on a part time or ‘blended learning’ basis. These courses start at specified times in the year and generally lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Regular study outside of taught sessions and attendance at college on a weekly basis is normally required.

Workshop events

Day or half-day sessions, designed to allow learners to gain an update to skills and knowledge. These courses do not lead to qualifications but provide accessible training on key business issues at a reasonable cost.

Work based learning

An opportunity for young people to ‘earn as they learn’. Following a structured and supported training programme. Apprentices areable to apply knowledge and develop skills in the workplace.

Introductory sessions

These short, introductory programmes, typically half day, allow learners to gain a clear insight in to the content and delivery style of a course prior to making a commitment. These courses do not usually result in any qualification on completion.

How do you make a Choice?

The range of learning opportunities available ensure that there is an appropriate way that you, and your staff, can engage in learning. To decide the most suitable approach to training for you, our Business Development Consultants will work with you to develop a Training Plan.

Advice will be provided to help you to make your choice and you will be encouraged to discuss programmes of training with relevant course tutors.
